Don’t live here permanently, UK Winter months November to April only

First came in 2009 30 day Tourist Visa , stayed with an ex work mate who had a Farm near Korat

Just loved it ,came back every year till I met the Thai Lady who I married in 2014 who has two adult children

Since then I have used 90 day multi entry visas or single entry plus two 30 day visa runs flying out of Bangkok where we now have a house

Some years my Wife travels back with me to UK where I still have a home

Spent a full year here during Covid

Not sure whether I would retire here as I would need something to occupy my mind

Made a lot of friends here over the years

Quite a common problem in Thailand

I’ve often been given Thai notes with marks on them ,when give them back for exchange they get upset, but are quite happy to pick out any marked notes in your currency

ahh it’s not really sick and the Vet already knows this

If it’s a 6 month visitor visa , my wife and I have done this several times over the last 10 years, you only have to prove you can support her whilst she’s in UK

If it’s long stay there is an earnings level you must achieve before they will grant it

I didn’t say I was going ,more than happy in Thailand

But there are some ex pats who are concerned about the coming Tax Implications

Especially if they are running on line businesses here

easier to tell in Philippines so you can avoid them

Philippines is starting to look better and better

They will welcome you with open arms
