Of course not.

And you do need to do 90 day reports just like any other tourist visa.

And it won’t get you a Thai bank account either.

Yes we are seeing stories about the IO being stricter.

Tell them you have a job back home and come on vacation.

Also have the “3 Proofs" to show.

Ticket home.

Lots of cash.

Hotel reservation.

You are completely overthinking this.

It’s a great deal, get it while you can.

Who knows what will be acceptable in 6 months.

If you look at other postings, you will see the most ridiculous reasons used for "soft power". Dental work is actually pretty good.

Why should expats avoid extensions on the Thai DTV visa?

A little long winded but you nailed it!

Just come for a while and then go out every NINETY days. No reporting, no extension.

There are lots of nice places nearby.

Please don’t wreck it for the rest of us…..
