Some visa requirements ask to show bank statements demonstrating ฿25,000 a month or ฿800,000 equivalent. I sensible person would keep that amount of money in the bank (obviously my opinion).
Do investment or superannuation accounts meet the requirement?
HiQuestion DTV Visa (work cation)I’m thinking to apply for Worcation DTV Visa.
I have more than 30.000+ euro’s (100.000 THB) in savings and more in investment accounts. I do not have any recurring income yet though. My investment portfolio + savings is enough to support myself for foreseeable future. I’m starting a business, I have a website, store, social media accounts etc. Will this be enough or will they require to see income?
Under requirements should be enough but I also read a lot of posts where they asked freelancers for 3-6 months of income etcUnder requirements:
1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photograph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc.)
4. Financial evidence: an amount of no less than 500,000 THB, (e.g., bank statements for the last three months, sponsor letter)
5 Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status
DTV says need 500k Thai baht for 3 months in bank account with statements. I don’t usually keep much in there. Will an investment account work to prove 500k?
Has anyone shown their investments accounts such as Fidelity Investments statements to meet the DTV financial requirements instead of a bank statement be accepted?
I’m applying for a Thai non O-A visa. [members only]
One of the requirements is to provide a ”Recent bank statement for the last three months showing the applicant's name and ending balance of no less than $30,000 or proof of monthly income of not less than $2,500/month) along with the current bank statement showing incoming income”. I meet the $2,500/month requirement, though I only had the $30,000 for two months.
The doubt is that I usually keep the vast majority invested and not in a bank account.
Would it be beneficial to include a formal document from my investment account that indicates the total amount invested? The amount is significantly higher than the requirement, amounting to 800,000 baht.
Should I wait an additional month to submit my application?
I already rented a place to live. Should I provide a copy of the documentation from the home lease?
Is the application process based solely on uploading documents to the website or are the documents mailed to the embassy?
Thank you in advance.
PS: I already have Thai health insurance, completed the background check, the health certificate, a copy of my passport, and recent photos. My lease starts August 15.
Hey yall with the money in the bank requirement. I have it but it’s in investment accounts. Do I have to pull my money out to season it in a checking account for 3 months? Before applying or can I just show them an investment account?
