Visa processing needs to be contracted out to people who understand the English language. Indians would know what writing ‘none’ or ‘N/A’ in your middle name field meant. No way applicants should lose $400 USD because of such.

STM.2, 9 & 11 have been mentioned as being new forms. Someone else says they cannot find STM.9 on the Thai Immigration website. The link I posted has these three forms for download (plus others) listed under ‘Thai Admin’.

You’ve not read the thread. I posted the link because someone else was unable to find all three forms so numbered on Thai immigration website.

Body language; When your IO turns empty envelopes upside down several times and shakes them it gives you a clue. Ask; ‘how can we solve this’? I had an arrangement with my previous IO where I contacted her by Line, she gave me an ‘appointment’ and all I did was attend for my deskcam photo. No queuing, form filling, photocopies or questions.

Thanks for your report. AFAIK my immigration office has always insisted on passbook update ‘on the day’. Incidentally, at my last retirement extension renewal I forgot to get a 12 month bank statement as this was the first time my office required one. 500 baht tip avoided my having to go away and come back again (another 120km round trip). My IO filled out my TM.7 and TM.8 for me plus didn’t ask me to sign every photocopy so I was quite happy with the service. Will look out for the new forms you mention!

The people who cannot cope must be the same ones who always asked to borrow my biro to fill out their TM.6 on the aeroplane!

Anonymous participant 254 Excellent point and explanation! Is it the category or the actual reason for your original application that counts? For example, if DTV was granted for dental treatment must you supply updated evidence of further dental treatment or could you switch within the medical category to, say, physiotherapy?

Thanks and well done! There was a previous report of a German applicant being ‘invited’ for interview and not best pleased they had to travel two hours. Their only conclusion was that it must have been to check they were physically in their Country of application.

From UK hence no medical plan. Hadn’t taken out life insurance either. In Thailand, Thai Mrs is concerned about my becoming alcoholic and leaving her with my funeral bill. She took out a 20 year Life Insurance plan with Thai Life. If I survive until 86 all monthly premiums are refunded plus a bonus.
