indeed I do and I get no hassle ever coming in and out of the country during the holidays, or indeed when I extend or transfer info to new passport as last week, that was needed.

As I once heard as a piece of advice: "come and live here by all means, but stick to the rules and you will be fine! "

You don't have to change the plates when moving provinces. I moved from Non Khai to Korat and it was fine. Only time to be aware is when you sell, as i did, then the buyer from a neighbouring province wanted to change on ownership. You just sign the papers then they do the leg work.

You also might still be required to have health insurance cover for approx 2.5 million bht. But please do check as so much has changed since i converted my OA to a non o retirement (which does not require insurance, but you do have to have your eight hundred thou in a Thai bank account.
