Take your shoes off at the door...and try to smile a bit...

I use the sites to find availability and general prices, and then book directly from the carrier because changing flights or getting refunds from a 3rd party site is extremely difficult or impossible sometimes.

Usually it's only 20 dollars more, but it can be really worth it if your connecting flight is late.

right they are different, and it does take a bit of time to figure it out. I had to puzzle over it for a couple of days, but when you do get it, the next time, it might take only an hour or 10 minutes even if you already have the photos and screen shots in your phone.

Having to print out actual paper documents is way more difficult in the end.

Us old people can learn this stuff, after all we learned all the other stuff to make it this far in life.

old person here.

I didn't grow up with computers either (which is unnecessary if you have a phone). Yet here we all are communicating via computer networks. It's never to late to learn something new.

exactly.

If you're holding a phone, all one has to do is push a button and ask it. Being old is not an excuse to not being able to learn something new and actually quite simple.

One year I brought a suitcase full of dried Hatch chillis, Anaheim and Poblanos and were put to very good use making Thai dishes.

My tamales were a flop, the cornmeal wasn't the same as the Harina available in America/Mexico. But the peppers made the filling spot on!

yes I did forget, the last time I had a GS cookie was decades ago, 😆.

The cookies here are not the best, but there are some excellent bakeries here when you can find them.

I've always did everything for myself since I was a teenager and it took some time to adjust, and to understand the cultural roles of Thai households. When I first came here, I was washing my clothes in buckets but after being married for 9 years, I have come to learn that for my wife, it's embarrassing for her and rude for me not to let her cook and clean for me. Her pride comes from her ability to do so.
