I applied through E-visa for a non-o visa based on marriage and what I got was a 60 day tourist visa.
I was distracted by all the entry changes and the Thai pass documents to notice this major detail. Now I'm all set to leave on the 21st of November and am wondering what I should do.
Should I reapply to change the visa?
I think there is time but it may invalidate my Thai-pass.
Can I change it there at my local immigration office?
But if so, is there time to season the bank account amount by then?
Or is the procedure for the e-visa to only issue tourist visas?
My consulate is LA
I appreciate any thought and help, thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user mistakenly received a 60-day tourist visa instead of a non-O visa based on marriage after applying through E-visa. They are inquiring about options to change their visa before leaving on November 21. Community responses indicate that the Thailand Pass and visa are separate, and it's possible to convert to a non-O visa in-country. However, funds in a Thai bank account need to be seasoned for at least two months beforehand. Alternatives include applying for a family extension for an additional 60 days to allow for further processes, such as getting the marriage certified and possibly extending the tourist visa.
