 No, immigration takes care of immigration. Customs is there to collect duty or stop contraband.

Are you getting travel insurance? If so, check the small print. Many won’t cover you unless you have a return ticket paid for before you leave. There are ‘nomad’ type policies so you could look for one of those.

Can I book an online appointment to get a 30-day extension for my visa exempt status at immigration in Thailand?

Book an appointment, turn up an hour early and fill in the forms. Go to the reception desk to check that you did it correctly. When this is confirmed, go to the immigration officers and wait your turn. The actual appointments don’t seem to be used. Don’t forget the photographs and the 1900 baht in cash.

 US$ to Thai baht has only 1 exchange rate. The only thing that may change by location are the fees they charge.

 So, you go to Thailand, exchange US$ for Thai baht. Then go to Philippines and exchange US$ for Thai baht and get more for the same amount of dollars?

I think that’s unlikely.

 Yes I agree. I always use Bolt or Grab where they are available. But sometimes have to get a cab.

 If I get in a cab with a broken meter, I get out again. Don’t get myself in a position where there’s likely to be an argument.
