Anonym deltaker 785 I work normal high paying job when i am in norway thats why i can save up money to live in Thailand for a while. My remote work is simply something i can sustain myself on in Thailand in addition to my saved up money. Which i thought was the main purpose of the DTV visa... 400-600$ + saved up money is enough to sustain my living
I showed them both the freelance contract, and bank statement with the salary (monthly payslips). The payslips was substantial less than the average in Norway, but it is considered as an average wage in Thailand.
ThoughtfulLychee5096 Exactly what i was thinking.... Its really enough money to live on. Stating i should have an average Norwegian salary in Thailand makes no sense to me
I applied at the embassy in Oslo, and i am a remote worker for a foreign company, its not my own. I have never heard of this requirement as well so i was pretty shocked about this. Thats why i doubt applying again with remote work in case they shut it down again
Anonym deltaker 467 Yes they directly told me that i had too low of a salary... Which is weird because i am pretty sure that you dont need to provide proof of salary when applying for soft power, and still get allowed to live there with only 500k thb
