I transfer from my UK bank to Thai bank via Wise. This month fee was £11.2 = 475 bhat. Just checked what

METV (6 months) likely avoid less questions although I was still asked once 2+ years back for proof of exit at BKK which would normally be an airline request if any. It’ll give you 60 days each trip with option to extend 30 days per entry so could actually work out to c9months.

What are the best options for an outward/return ticket when planning a 3-month stay in Thailand without incurring high change fees?

Might be worth just booking a cheap flight to neighbouring country (Cambodia used to be cheap but Vietnam looks cheapest from my quick checks) as proof of onward travel (throw away or pay the extra for cancellation) about 80AUD but can be less - book yer real flight back to Aus when you want
