Anytime I’ve ever traveled and had a layover in a foreign country. I’ve never gone through customs. I’ve just gone to the gate where my next flight will be.

I don’t know my landlord does it for me. But the rental agent asked me if I wanted to do it on my own or have the landlord do it. So I chose the landlord. But I know you can get it done. Go to immigration and find out.
