So no dtv in sight as we landed in Bkk..but happy to say that I got in easily with a 60 day free visa..the IO was a smiling guy and funny that he stamp my passport first before asking how long I'm staying and if a applied for a dtv

I showed a copy that saya pending approval and he smiled saying he was worries he stamped the wrong visa on my passport.! So it's nice to be back on Thailand, air is different and I can go back to my normal routine ..my health declined in HCMC due to my diet restriction and can't eat food with sugar..I get to rest my worries for now and will just wait for the dtv and make a flight out again..

Nice!

My 90-day non-immigrant O Visa (on-line) never came through after two weeks. At Immigration, it showed as “pending”. Immigration Officer reviewed all docs I uploaded online and stamped me for 90. A bit of trauma but it worked out OKAY.

An IO with a smile and sense of humor? Gosh get his name! 😁 Actually all the interactions I've had have been cordial; they just want to get the business done, not for conversation.

Good luck to you - have a good stay and hope that DTV comes through soon. I can’t imagine not eating Thai food though!

we all have our own preferences..thanks!

Almost all Thai food has sugar. They don’t understand diabetes here. It’s crazy.

@Michael ********
So glad you told us.

So you have applied for a DTV, now left the country where you applied, and re entered TH.

Keep us informed please. My understanding was that you have to wait for decision where DTV was applied. Which DTV reason?

yes, that's what it is..but Bec our visa in Vietnam is expiring today we left. Reentered with the 60 day and will just fly out again once visa is issued and reenter with dtv. That's what other people and doing ..besides all docs are in order ..
Ralph *******
Why would they ask “Have you applied for a DTV”?
Ralph *******
How do you avoid food with sugar in Thailand?

I don't order..we cook Bec we always book a furnished apartment anywhere we go. And besides there is a Lebanese resto near us so when it's hectic we order from there.
Ralph *******
@Alma **************
Then why couldn’t you do that in HCMC?

@Ralph ******
Bec that's what where most people suggested and closer and a new place for us to discover.

I think the author has monetised their account. They just need to post stuff and get responses. Like the nonsense with the DTV.

@Ralph ******
I don't monetise, sorry to disappoint you since I don't need to earn from this kind of sources..I was just sharing..even here in Thailand we don't eat Thai food due to the sugar in them. We cook our own food..
John **********
@Alma **************
Very wise. Dispute many attempts at ordering food and telling them in their own language not to add sugar, up to now has been pointless.

@John *********
that's why we don't order food that we are not familiar with..
Ralph *******
@Alma **************
Ok. Just when I see ‘professional mode switched on’ it does make me question if this is a business.

@Ralph ******
I'm sorry I'm not familiar with whatever is the professional mode here

All I know is to post so as to share..I'm not a digital nomad of any sort, just an ordinary person who likes to exchange ideas or oppinions and learn from others. Check my profile if you can see any business related activity.lol!
