This is related to the Microsoft IT issue affecting airlines worldwide the last two days, with many flight cancellations, it should be cleared up today, or by Monday. As such there is nothing you can do except pay the overstay fine, if they charge one, as Monday is the earliest you can visit immigration, resulting in an overstay anyway. Just ride it out, as it will be cleared up as fast as possible. A fix for the software problem has already been developed, and sent to those affected. How fast the systems catch up is not known at this time, but constantly check with your airline. I mean hourly checking. This happened worldwide on Friday, yesterday.
Contact the SS division of the US embassy in Manila in the Philippines. You can do it all by email. They handle all SS for all of lower South East Asia. It took me less than a week, and the charge for part B was not on my next payment. If you ever want to get back on part B there is a 10% penalty for each year you were off it. If you were off it for ten years then signed up again during the sign up period, usually in November, then the premium would be double, but that is the only penalty. Part A is free so you always have that, the in patient major medical part. If you stay out of the US for the rest of your life it is a waste to keep paying it as you can't use it.
no. It is good for just 180 days, at which time you can extend it for another 180 days for bt10,000 without leaving, and as long as you maintain the bt500,000 in your bank account. Leave, and come back doing it again for five years, costing bt10,000 every 180 days.
it was all simply one loophole that was closed. Before January 1st of 2024 if you kept the wages you earned out of the country for more than one year those moneys could be sent, or brought into Thailand tax free. That loophole closed. Now it doesn't matter when money was earned, or how long it was kept out of the country, Thailand wants to make sure the taxes are paid on it, either in the country you worked in, or in Thailand. Everything else speculated on is all based on this loophole closure, and there are some pretty wild speculations...lolol
then apply for a tourist visa. That will give you enough time to get everything in order once you get here. Once you get the required bank account, and the minimum of bt800,000 transferred into it, then you can apply for the initial 90 day extension that you get first. When you've got about 30 days left on that stamp you can apply for your one year extension. It is the easiest visa extension to get once you get your Thai bank account in your name only, and transfer in the bt800,000+
