From LHR he'll definately need onward travel within 45 days and almost certainly need it from any other UK airport.

You cant walk over the bridge. Plenty of buses from Mukdahan to Savannakhet.

What? There's plenty of time to get it. She's travelling in a few weeks, the evisa only takes a few days to be issued in the UK. The evisa is a much better option, cheaper and saves a trip to Immigration.

If you're in Thailand you get it from your local Immigration office, if you're out of the country you get it from a Thai Embassy/Consulate or online as an evisa.

If not married the OP will need to be named as the childs father on the birth certificate to obtain a Non Imm O visa based on dependancy.
