Morning all.

My visa expires soon and I am living in Kalasin. Does anyone know if it's possible to drive to Mukdahan and just walk over the bridge into Laos and return? Thanks very much 🙏

You cant walk over the bridge. Plenty of buses from Mukdahan to Savannakhet.

I think it’s ok but not sure where to park near the border gate in Thai side. I only did by using the Thai Laos International bus this month. I saw cars and pickups crossing the border into Laos very often. I know you don’t need to bring your car into Laos.

I don’t think the bridge is open to motorcycles or pedestrians. You can get the bus from the bridge or the bus station.
