TLDR : Answer Summary
A USA citizen seeking assistance with a year-long retirement visa in Pattaya can consider several options. While some commenters suggest handling the visa process independently, others recommend seeking help from local agents familiar with the Non-Immigrant O (Retirement) visa. Notable recommendations include Maneerat on Soi 13/2, across from the Post Office, and Thai Visa Center, which is praised for its reliable service and good reviews. It's generally advised to understand the visa requirements, such as having 800,000 THB in a bank account and being over 50 years old, to successfully apply for the visa.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.
Jeh *****
Thai Visa Center is good.

Just keep in mind that the shipping is Kerry, and the tracking system is not reliable and has errors, but it WILL arrive in about 3 days. Used them twice.

I only mentioned this because, both times the Kerry app said they are trying to call me, and had to reschedule the delivery.

But in fact, I never received any calls and the phone number was correct on my end and TVC. Shouldn't be anything to worry about..

if you are truly in need, the immigration officers are not bad guys/women, and will help you, giving you exact details of what you must have. If you can't put the required bt800,000 in your Thai bank account, then you use a shady agent. If not, then immigration is very helpful.

There are a lot of different options depending on your $$$ resources lol. And your passport. And technically, there is no such thing as one year retirement visa in Thailand.

if that's the case Todd then be specific regarding what information is needed, because clearly I don't know. So instead of being an asshole and telling me I'm uneducated, try adding some value in explaining what information is needed.

@John *****
have you bothered to look at the Thai visa requirements on the Thai visa webpage?

That would be the first step.

yeah I'm looking at for a recommendation and who can help me get this visa.
Todd *********
@John *****
you can get this visa yourself. Or Thai Visa Centre can get this visa for you. Or you can apply directly online for LTR if you have adequate funds
Alistair **********
This guy can
@John *****
. It's not a complicated process, if you've done a 30 day extension before you can do a retirement visa. It's similar just with financial paperwork required.

If you want an agent try Thaivisacentre. Probably pay 25k
Todd *********
@Alistair *********
TVC is currently 18k for 3 month O Visa and 16k for 1 year retirement extension. $34k total (possibly a bit higher now) for 15 months
Michael ********
@John *****
search topics " retirement" loads of information there from people who have done it previously
Steve *******
@John *****
If you're in Thailand you get it from your local Immigration office, if you're out of the country you get it from a Thai Embassy/Consulate or online as an evisa.

Can do by yourself, very easy
