yes I seem to remember that figure, also I read unlimited entries, so no re-entry permits needed. I think this is just the visa for me. (if only I was 50 already 555)

True, but unless I read this wrong, this visa also has an income option. It's a bit more that the measly 65 K but should not be a biggie

The way I read this, the money needs to stay in the bank for just one year. After all, even the current "regime" needs 800K in the bank, so it's only a small step up from that amount, and you save in fees quite considerably.

why not ? I mean, it saves 9 extensions @1900 baht and possibly 9 multiple re-entry permits @ 3800 a piece. Me thinks this will be quite popular...

Do I need to provide a copy of my Lao visa and entry stamp when applying for the Thai SETV?

My point is that logically speaking it doesn't make sense to copy something that is already in ones passport. Now I do know those bureaucrats sometimes have silly demands, but to the best of my knowledge, they don't want a photocopy of your Lao VOA or entry stamp..
