Ok, so enter before December 4, you will get 60 days, purchase a singe re-entry permit, to keep the leave to remain date alive, you can still extend this with 30 more days

well, no need to do anything really, you have unlimited entries, so as long as you enter Thailand before January 4 or so, you will still be awarded 60 days, extendable with 30 days. Edit: oeps miscalculation on my part, your use before date would be 2-12 not 4-1-2018, in this case, enter before 2-12 and get a re-entry permit

So that trip to Chiang Wattana is so much hassle you are willing to break the law and be potentially liable for two days, if you run into any police check, you wished you made the trip is all I am going to say.

Cameron Gallagher Sorry, yeah was talking about your current entry :) In any case, you re-enter on 19-7, get 60 days and you will be able to extend that for another 30 days @ 1900 baht.

well, you said that your current entry is expired today, so go to immigration tomorrow, they will extend your entry with 30 days for 1900 baht and charge you 500 baht for one day overstay

as long as you enter before the use before date, you will get 60 days and yes you can extend that entry for another 30 days if you wish. However now you would be on overstay, so extend your current entry as soon as possible.

Chiang Wattana or wherever the nearest Immigration office is to do an extention. Or even a border run if that is more convenient. Q2 100% Your METV is still valid for entry on 19-7 so you will get 60 days no questions asked.

no, that rule has changed since 1-1-2017. You will now once again get 30 days at landborders, yet you are limited to two overland entries in a calendar year.

I cannot speak for other people, if they don't have the money, at least the 65K/800K option is still on the table. In fact, this visa is limited to 14 nationalities, so for many this new visa isn't an option in any case
