the person who suggested that was NOT an idiot. The OP is at fault for using the wrong terminology. People on real visas on arrival are allowed only 15 days upon entry and they can't extend in country, yet some offices would give an "extension rejected" stamp that allows them to stay for up to 7 more days. So, the advise was accurate. The question was wrong, tho as the OP isn't on a visa on arrival.
Ask directly to the Embassy you're applying at. I applied at Seoul, Korea and they said they accepted documents in English or Thai, only (Korean language documents weren't accepted). I managed my Korean bank and employers to issue everything in English.
Participante anónimo not booking anything until the visa is approved would be the logical course of action, yes. But, in my specific case, my Embassy does require you to already have booked and submit evidence of flights and accommodations.
When I applied, I booked accommodations with free cancelation (albeit the free cancelation deadline passed BEFORE they had approved the visa), but I didn't book refundable flights as they were like 3-4 times more expensive. At the end everything worked well. Mine was a remote worker route, if that matters.
Participante anónimo The 90-day report is another thing. For the DTV application, they ask you to write your intended address. At first, just writing the address could suffice, but they can ask more evidence, such as lease (if it applies), or the Airbnb, hotel, etc. booking documents. Or a letter of a Thai national, if you'd be living with him/her.
It could be an "urgent" meeting of nomads? Who knows? Haha. But, what's sure is that normally you don't ask the Embassy to reschedule an appointment for your own convenience. Normally they tell you when to go, and you either go or don't (with what not going implies, of course).
I think they normally wouldn't know, BUT if the OP shows the gym documents for Bangkok and then a lease or bookings for Hua Hin, they might ask, how do you plan to go? And then they might inadvertently disclose that information.
Good for you. And out of curiosity, are there still direct flights from Pakistan? Or did you make a stop somewhere else? I'm asking because I read that Thai Airways had suspended its flights? Maybe they resumed? Or another airline?
