Hey guys,

I applied for my visa 1 month ago ( from Austria) and it’s still in processing. My flight was suppose to be at 9.th (now changed to 22) December because the visa wasn’t ready. Does anyone has a email which I can contact. Or any idea why it takes so long 🥲🥲🥲 I can’t change the flight anymore so I need to take that flight

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user from Austria is experiencing delays with their visa application, which is still processing a month after submission, affecting their travel plans. They seek contact information for the embassy and advice on how to handle the situation, especially since their flight is imminent. Comments highlight urgency, the importance of compliance with visa laws, and provide a link to the Thai embassy for further inquiries, emphasizing the need for applicants to allow ample time for processing.

Did your Visa finally come out?? I applied since November 18th scheduled to Travel December 28th, from Germany but not a German passport holder.
Robert *******
The Royal Thai Embassy cannot accommodate urgent requests. The applicants must ensure that they leave sufficient time for their visa application process before their planned departure.

Typing the name of the Embassy is so difficult, but I can handle it as an old grumpy man.

IF you have questions for the Austria Thai Embassy, go ahead:

you leave Austria before DTV finish = no DTV for you. dont take the plane. it disrespectful to law

Are you Austrian? Are you still in Austria? Your Facebook page shows you posted in Spain yesterday. You can’t leave Austria while waiting for your visa.

DTV_BegPecker the leaving the country thing is just a recommendation incase they need to call you in for an interview, its not a legal law , as long as she can get back for interview it doesnt matter

not what my Embassy said, so. They wrote with red letters then the application would be canceled if I left the country

@Elías *******
How strange mine said is fine but if you are called in for interview you must make it back on time

- which embassy? Can you show what they wrote you? Furthermore, OP said she submitted a month ago, but her posts show she was traveling through the Scandinavian countries up until a few weeks ago, then went to Austria, so it is possible she wasn’t there when she applied and isn’t there now

it doesn't matter where you are working. Thailand treats online visa applications in exactly the same way they did when you had to attend in person and hand over your passport and application. It's just that now you hand them over electronically

DTV_BegPecker Neither the Thai Embassy website in Finland or in Austria states that applicants must remain in the country while waiting for the results. There is no such requirement mentioned anywhere. Moreover, forbidding travel within the EU would be a most ridiculious restriction.
James ********
Reality is that you are to stay in the country where you applied for the DTV visa until the decision is known.. period 🩸

Netherlands is in the EU, right? So you think the rules differ?
Georgijus ************
Each embassy has own rules

- You don’t care about the Netherlands, but I posted it to refute your statement that “forbidding travel within the EU would be the most ridiculous restriction”. The Netherlands is part of the EU and they clearly articulate it. I believe what you state as being not a rule because it isn’t posted is not accurate and it is more accurate that some embassies give more details on their rules than others. For example, Athens painstakingly lists out issues around middle names and how errors can cause you to get your application canceled. Those rules exist across the embassies, but Athens just happens to be more detailed. The Netherlands says they have the “authority”, to only support those in their jurisdiction. That is more than a mere requirement, but an authority given to them my MoFA. You think MoFA gives different authority to different embassies? So if you applied in Austria and then traveled to the Netherlands, Austria now has the authority to grant you a visa over the Netherlands who clearly states it’s their authority? Something doesn’t add up. Some sites clearly articulate you must stay put, others have vague language like Finland. None say you can travel. But you decide to believe you can travel, despite no one anywhere saying you can.
Georgijus ************
I dont care about Netherlands, I said that in Finland and Austria they didn't post such requirement on their website.

DTV_BegPecker it also looks like you were in Norway when you initially applied, so your timeline makes little sense.
