I heard immigration has been questioning DTV upon border run arrival. Does anybody have any advice? I am wondering if I should enter through Bangkok or through Chiang Mai. I live in Chiang Mai, but I heard that Bangkok may be better for entering.

I need to do a border run I live in prachin buri if I make my own way to poipet is there an agent there who will walk my passport through the process...thanks

Last month I entered Thailand with a 2 month tourist visa. But I had to get a new passport from the us. Embassy In Chiang mai. Now i am at the immigration office in Chiang Rai because i need my stamp in my new passport. Do I have to pay for a new stamp? And there saying I should just do a border run but I have a letter from the embassy requesting the new stamp. What should I do?
