I am sure you are correct, being so knowledgeable Brandon, but I read somewhere that online reporting was 14 to 7 days before the due date. Is that incorrect or like many things, does it vary?

If you are over 50 it might be easier to get the non o based on retirement. You can change it to marriage extension the year after if you want to.

Using an agent is unnecessary and ties you into using them every subsequent year.

yes. I managed it a couple of years ago, but it seems to be more difficult now. I see most people seem to use an agent for that now at a cost of about 4,000 Baht.

I thought that involved getting police checks and other stuff, but if it's as simple as applying then yes that makes sense.

Retirement visa is much easier to obtain than marriage, but you need to deposit 800,000 baht in your Thai bank account.

Get an online

day tourist visa before you come, then you have plenty of time to get all the bank sorted (do this immediately) and your documentation ready.
