Searched everywhere, but still so confusing.

Doing my Thai driving license renewal from 2 to 5 years.

Need residence certificate. Is tm30 enough with 2 photos, and visa

/entry stamps? Do I need a house contract? ( just did in Pattaya for my dad, and those where the only required)

I travel every 3 weeks, so don’t have 90 day report

Do I need to make an appt for license renewal or can I come to DLT directly

Many thanks in advance 🙏🙏🙏

I'm thrilled to share that I just received my DTV from the Thai Embassy in Jakarta! 🎉

Thank you to everyone in this group for sharing your experience. It really helped me!

It was a smooth and quick process – I applied on Monday morning and received my visa this Thursday afternoon. 🙌

For those curious about what documents I submitted, here's what I presented:

1. Bank Statement showing the required financial amount.

2. A brochure with a proposal that I typically send to my clients.

3. My CV showcasing my professional experience.

4. A document explaining that I am a freelancer and how I manage my work.

5. A statement clarifying that I’m the sole employer of my company, ensuring I won’t compete with local Thai businesses.

6. Documents that demonstrate my business registration in my country.

7. The completed visa application form.

Everything was approved without any issues! 🙏

Hello everyone !

I got my new passport today and I know (thanks to you guys) that I have to go to Chaengwattana with the letter provided by the Embassy to have my stamps "transferred" to the new passport.

Few questions :

* shall I go there as usual early in the morning to do this?

* shall I ask for one specific counter or will it be the counter which deals with my type of VISA ? (non-immigrant F)

* a part from the two passports and the letter from my Embassy, shall I bring some other documents? (to be sure, I will bring for sure photocopies of first pages and last stamps and photocopies of the new passport first page).

Thank you so much for your help and support and have a good day !

Hi, I am planning on applying for a Thai driver’s license and I am required to have a “certificate of residency”/ “residency statement” from my embassy (USA) ...the embassy website just says to fill out a blank affadavit form but offers no instructions ... can anyone that has done this before tell me how to fill this out correctly? Anything I should know like does it have to be printed or can be handwritten ? Specific ink color? Do I have to take a witness for the notary? Any documents I need to bring to the embassy? Anything I should know? Thanks everyone, happy holidays! 🎄

What do you need to show for the 60day covid extension? I have a new teacher who is switching schools (different province) already on a non b extension. However due to closures of offices, such as legalization of documents etc and delays I don't think we can get all the documents ready in time to switch from one NonB to another before she leaves her existing school. I was therefore wondering if it is possible to cancel the Non B from the previous school, apply for a 60 day covid extension and then get all the paperwork ready to convert the covid extension to a new Non B. Do you think this is feasible?

Just got back into Thailand, are TM 30s still required? If they are is this still basically what is needed? Just trying to make sure that if I'm making the journey to Immigration it won't be just a practice a run. :-)

Copies of:

-Lease

-Pages of my passport (signed)

-Visa

-Entry stamp

-TM6 departure card

-Copy of Ta-bien baan (signed by owner)

-Copy of Owner’s ID (signed by owner)

Am I missing anything? Is there a cost involved, I can't remember anymore. Thanks in advance!
