@John *******
it only takes 1 and all of their illegal visas are cancelled. Imagine paying someone for something you could do yourself in 30 minutes and then ending up with no right to stay in Thailand 🤣

@John *******
possibly so and they probably don't realise that if the immigration officer accepting the bribe is prosecuted, they will lose their visa and have to start from the beginning (yes this does happen, a guy was complaining last week that his had been revoked for this reason. He blamed the IO instead of his naivety in using an agent). If he's not restrained financially he can obtain the elite visa instead.

I got this list from Hua Hin. The wording is is unclear, but as is often the case I think they missed the word 'or' from the list. I have not used the 65k method, but I believe your bank statement should be enough.

@Todd ********
and what if the immigration officer is convicted for taking bribes and your visa cancelled? Yes it does happen, there was a guy complaining about this a week or two ago and he had to start the whole visa process again. It might be rare, but not worth the risk. You can always convert to the 65,000 baht monthly method instead.

Do it yourself, it's a form with about 10 things to fill in, some photocopies of your passport etc, your bank stuff and takes a few minutes.

@Graham *****
must be another one of those many things that varies then Graham.

I've got one now for my 5 year driving licence in Hua Hin and they insisted I said what the purpose was and the wording is included in the certificate. I also checked and a previous one in Sriracha was specifically for buying a car.

@Graham *****
I am pretty certain it is one certificate for each situation (a little bit of extra cash for the government). The form has several tick boxes, but it's only to identify your purpose, so they get it correct on the certificate. If not you could tick every box and use it multiple times.

I have 2 accounts for exactly this reason and as Stuart Cumming stated I also keep about a thousand extra in to ensure it never goes below the immigration threshold.

@Tod ********
did I miss that, did he say new passport or re-entering the country? I thought he was talking about changing address, so first report after changing province.

Forgot to say it depends on your location if the IO will allow online reporting, but it seems a lot allow it.
