Hi everyone, I just realized I made a HUGE mistake and hope someone has some advice for me. I am a US citizen. I just spent 30 days in Indonesia and 28 days in Malaysia. I leave Malaysia in 2 days heading to Singapore for 3 days. My plan was to spend 60 days in Thailand on a tourist visa and 2-3 weeks in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. It just occurred to me I forgot to apply for the Thai Visa and I won’t be in Malaysia or Singapore long enough to get it. I haven’t checked yet, but does anyone know if it’s easier to get a tourist visa in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia and apply for the Thai visa there? Another option is to stay longer in Singapore until I get it, but hotels are very expensive there and I don’t know how difficult their Thai visa process is. I can’t believe I did this! I appreciate your thoughts.
UPDATE: I have what I need so I’m turning off comments. Thanks again for being so kind and gracious with your advice, even though I made a silly mistake in misinterpreting the Thai Visa information. I also appreciate those of you who went beyond and reminded me of the other country requirements I will be visiting too. You guys are a real treasure. Best to you all.
I am arriving in Thailand on December 20. If I apply for an eVisa today or tomorrow, will I get it in time? If I apply but don't get it in time, can I still enter Thailand with a visa on arrival instead? (I'm a US citizen)
Hello good friends - I have a quick question. I arrived on Jan 15th on visa exempt (US Citizen). I received a 30 day extension, and then a 60 day Covid extension. Am I required to do 90 day reporting before I leave? My leave date is may 8th, but they didn’t tell me anything about having to do 90 day reporting when i got my Covid extension. Thanks so much for your help!
I'm planning on going to immigration services tomorrow at Civic Center in Chain Watthana. I'm a US citizen and got a 30-day entry on my passport when entering the country. I've been sick with the flu for the past 2 weeks in my hotel and was wanting to get an extension. I'm not sure if this is a tourist visa or a 30 day Visa waiver. I was told if I go tomorrow I could either receive another 30-day extension or maybe a 90-day tourist visa. Is this information correct? I just wanted to verify before proceeding. Also I was told to be there by 8:30 a.m. is there a specific time frame for this process? I already have passport photos. Thanks.
I am a US citizen. Can I just fly out every 60 days (with a 30 day extension) and fly back for my visa run? I just assumed I could do that but now I am hearing there are restrictions to visa runs.
Or do I need a Multi Entry Visa (how long are those for) from my home country.
I am also looking into an Educational Visa to learn Thai.
US citizen traveling from Myanmar to BKK tomorrow. I have return flight to Myanmar and a hotel booked for 10 days. In the meantime, I have decided to stay in BKK and look for a teaching job (yes, I have experience and credentials). My QUESTION is: should I just get the visa exemption at Don Muang? How do I extend after that? After hotel stay is up, I will do month to month until I find job. What about address notification? Thanks for your help....it is a complicated confusing process for a novice.
