I think we will see a similar approach in other countries. I am waiting to see what Qatar does to prevent introduction of the virus after it curbs it with various levels of lock-down. Current stats in Qatar? About 45,000 confirmed cases with about 1500 new cases per day. 188 people in ICU with daily admissions of about 20. 189,000 people tested. And, 23 deaths. We are at the peak of a much flattened curve. Ramadan and Eid activity may cause a spike in cases in another 2 or 3 weeks. I started teaching online on March 10. We have been asked to stay at home since that date.

And, uses up test supplies in other countries that could be used to protect people living there. Better to close all borders for a sustained period. Or, require mandatory quarantine in monitored situation.
