- read my reply.. This has been done once before with Kasikorn bank and it worked for the guy who did it.. But such a letter requesting a bank chief announcement letter needs to be in Thai language requesting a policy letter addressed to Thai Immigration with a translation in English
- discussing it will bring it to an end.. And the end is an enterprising person who writes a letter to the Chief Dogs of Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank and TMB asking that they issue a letter to Thai Immigration officially pointing out that All TransferWise funds Transfers originate in a country other than Thailand, a.k.a. an International inbound funds Transfer.. and provide downloadable copies on their bank website.. These three banks are the only TransferWise banking partners in Thailand
- it is not mindless Tod. It is necessary for some. That you do not understand the need does not make it mindless. "Times are a changing" as the old song lyrics said. It pays to keep up to date.
Bottom line the days of spending a year or more coming in on combinations of 30 Day Exempt Entries and 60 Tourist Visas plus 30 day Extensions are going to come to a halt... Why? Because it will be directly related to the suspicion of illegal working in Thailand. Plus, there are powers that be in the upper echelons of Immigration that simply do not want Foreigners / Farangs in Thailand period.
What Tod and I wrote are the actual Thai Immigration Rules on this subject. It is not a matter of conflict ... it is a matter of some local Thai Immigration Offices doing whatever the hell they want to do. Being arbitrary and capricious on the part of a local immigration office is not a conflict ... it is just piss on the rules - we are the kings of our Immigration office area and we do what ever the hell we want.
John Blackie, there is no end to the lack of adherence to the established rules as done by individual Immigration offices. March 1, 2019 the rules changed but that somehow does not keep some offices from applying whatever rules they want to.
Mike I just said that ... there is no 3 month before requirement anymore. After March 1 everthing changed. 2 months before every time, then 3 months after, then 7 months at minimum 400k
