TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no legal limit on the number of times you can receive a 30-day stamp under the visa waiver program when entering Thailand by air. However, frequent entries can lead to scrutiny from immigration officials, and you might be advised to secure a proper visa after several visits. Additionally, recent concerns have been raised regarding the enforcement of policies aimed at preventing illegal work by foreigners.
Bottom line the days of spending a year or more coming in on combinations of 30 Day Exempt Entries and 60 Tourist Visas plus 30 day Extensions are going to come to a halt... Why? Because it will be directly related to the suspicion of illegal working in Thailand. Plus, there are powers that be in the upper echelons of Immigration that simply do not want Foreigners / Farangs in Thailand period.
Seems a grey area because there was a post in here the other day about people being turned away on mass from DMK.... I’d like to know too as I am on the way to Bali to renew my passport but I’d rather do it in Thailand!
a friend of my son was stopped too, had a new TR from Phnom Penh, money in the bank, but no cash, they send him back to Phnom Penh. I do not understand the world anymore. Now he will try at another border.
legally there is no limit, however after a couple of times you will be grilled and warned to get a proper visa. BTW it is not Tourist visa it is the visa waiver program you are asking about.
