I may be wrong but didn't think Muay Thai was "educational". Maybe DTV would be a better route? Valid 5 years, 180 days each entry.

they can't get an O-A in country though. All the documentation has to be obtained in the applicants home country so using an agent seems pointless.

the first time I looked at "visas" many years ago ( 14! ), I was a bit naïve about the validity of visa and permitted stay. Mostly because people call their "entry/permitted stay" the visa, which it actually isn't. At least people can now come on pages like this to get clarification.

Enter Thailand between the visa validity 7th July and 4th October and the day you enter you'll be given 90 days permitted stay.

I was just that some banks have brought in this 4 month rule rule. Jeez. It might be information that's useful.

it becomes relevant if the money's not been in long enough for the bank's "rule" to issue the statement for immigration and extention.

No. You get your nonO in UK ( they usually require visa). Enter Thailand, go to bank and open account.

Could you ask your bank? My son banks with Bangkok bank and not had an issue. Could this be related to a visa issue you have?
