Too many people pushing the boundaries. Tourist Visas, border bounces, etc. Some people have been here for years without a proper visa. I also heard rumors of the requirements for the DTV being tightened in the future.

To answer your question SS and other Federal pensions are not subject to Thai tax according to the Double Tax Agreement. Everything else if brought into Thailand would be taxed.
