If I'm applying for a DTV visa in Cambodia, my money is in my Canadian bank account. Does anyone know if it has to be in there for 2 months or can I just show the money in my account? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for how long the money needs to stay in your Canadian bank account when applying for a visa, specifically the DTV visa in Cambodia, is unclear. Some experiences suggest that the funds need only be visible, rather than held for a specific duration, based on individual cases. However, one commenter noted ambiguity regarding the existence of a DTV visa in Cambodia, recommending that inquiries be directed to a local group or the embassy for definitive answers.

If you applied in Canada, I know the money doesn't have to be in your account that long. You just have to prove you have it.

In Cambodia, no idea.

I got approved in cambodia with 4 month statement but the 500k was only there for about 1 month. Before that the balance was between 100k to 400k. Never got any questions about it.

Pretty sure Cambodia doesn’t have a DTV visa, but you’d probably do better asking in a group in that country.

This group is more than capable of answering that question.

The funds must be seasoned in your account. If the money was just recently deposited and you do not have multiple months of bank statements showing it, your application will likely be denied.

They may also ask you to open your mobile banking app to verify the balance.

The DTV is a Thai Visa obtained from a Thai Embassy such as the one in Cambodia

I'm applying for a Thai DTV visa you have to apply from outside of Thailand. So I'm applying for the e-visa through the Thai embassy in Phnom Phen. The question was if the money needs to be seasoned for 2 mo ths or not.
