Sharing my experience in case others are worried.

My arrival in Thailand is scheduled for May 1st. Initial concerns regarding the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) application proved unfounded. The process was completed in under five minutes; the application was simple and straightforward. The email confirmation/QR code were received immediately, with a convenient download option also provided after submission. The entire experience was seamless and straightforward.

Of course you get a stamp for entering through Thai Immigration.

Does this quicken your process going through Thailand immigration/customs?
Blade ********
@Todd ********
of course not compared to if you don’t need it like before. It just lets this suspicious government observe you better. 👍

@Blade *******

I am going for 2 weeks but only have hotel booked for 1 week do I need accommodation for the full 2 weeks or will not be accepted
Charlie ********
@Gary *****
when you get to your first hotel they will copy your passport and complete a TM30 which notifies immigration of your address in Thailand. When you move to your new hotel after the first week that hotel will also copy your passport and file a TM30. So for the landing card TDAC you only need your first accommodation in Thailand.
Charlie ********
@Gary *****
you will be fine.

@Charlie *******
thanks mate much appreciated 👍

Do you need to show to the immigration officer a qr code ,or once they scan your pasport it will pop up in their system.
Umer **************
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Marnix ********
there is a QR code but I have drawn over it so it can't be compromised. My understanding is to show this to the immigration officer along with passport.
Jo **********
@Umer *************
if it’s like Singapore no need to show as it will be registered in the computer
Richard ********
@Jo *********

Richard ********
@Jo *********

Jo **********
@Richard *******

@AliJames ****
thats correct. Leaving London and stopping of ar Abu Dhubai before doing final leg to Phuket
AliJames *****
@Umer *************
Quick question, I am also leaving from London in a couple of days, did you need to print off your e-visa or can you just show it on your phone?
Umer **************
ORIGINAL POSTER
@AliJames ****
there is an option when doing TDAC to enter VISA number but not compulsory to add to TDAC. I am entering and looking to obtain visa exempt upon arrival. What VISA did you get from London ? Previously I did use a TR visa and although they had it on their system upon arrival i still showed them a printed version. Immigration officer informed me due to length or stay and propose I don't need TR visa and I should just turn up and get visa exempt.
AliJames *****
@Umer *************
I got a spousal visa, will be coming with my kid. I suppose I best print it off to be safe.
Graham ******
@AliJames ****
yes, that will be preferred
Ekjot ********
One doesn’t have to worry about this if their arrival is scheduled before May1 right ?

I have a flight in next few hours haha

Thanks in advance
Tez ******
Steve *******
@Ekjot *******
you don't have to worry regardless. It's not something that will affect your trip no matter when you come.

If you need one and forget it, the airport staff will tell you, and you do it in 2 minutes
Graham ******
@Ekjot *******
Correct, starts for arrivals from 00:01 on 1-May
