Craig Richards Cannot open a BB account while in the US. You must go to a Thai branch in Thailand and they will open a deposit account US)​and a branch account.

You have to show your passport at the bank to withdraw or transfer money from a deposit account. You do not get an atm card.

Colin Biggar My statement and passbook show only deposits and withdrawals plus the minor stuff. Statement is less than two pages. That is via a deposit account.

Matthew Plymale if your address is in the US, u will recieve it the way u are now receiving it. If your address is in Thailand u will recieve it on the 3rd. Read the handbook for US Xpats. Also, if your address is in the US u are bucking the system as u do not have to do the proof of life form. Cheating the system.

Come back in on a tourist visa after your funds have matured and then apply for a non o retirement visa or extension.

Richard Allen Jones I know that. If you reside in Thailand u must give them your address. Otherwise u are cheating. I get a proof of life form each year to pretty much let them know that I am alive.
