I did my 90 day report at Immigration at Promanada earlier this week. It took me only 10 minutes and after I was processed there was no one left waiting in line at 12pm. It was very painless. Other on here have said they had similar experiences this week. Why would you pay someone 500 baht for a painless free service?

A bit complicated. My advice is to go and see them at Immigration.

My friend, you are incorrect 90 day is a reporting period and not (as you state) an extension. The poster clearly states 90 day report. Perhaps you are talking about something different. I have a Marriage Visa (actually7 an incorrect term but everyone recognizes it) which expires in Feb 2019. My 90 day reporting was due on 15 Jul 2018. But my wife and I went to Australia for the period 30 Apr to 1 Jun 2018. My 90 day reporting commenced again when I returned to Thailand and is based on my arrival date as shown on my (now) used re-entry permit. I did my 90 day report at Immigration at Promanada yesterday receiving a stamp to report again on 17 Nov 2018. If you were correct, I would have been overdue for my 90 day report by well over 1 month. I am correct based on my own current experience.

Your 90 days restats when you arrive back in Thailand.

Then go ahead and apply for a retirement visa. But remember that you need to show more savings/income than a marriage visa.

No. Immigration expect you to use the money in your account for living expenses. But do not forget that, if you want to renew your visa you will need your account to show 800,000 thb for the 2 months prior to your renewal date.
