TLDR : Answer Summary
The Mae Sae border run can grant a stay of 30 days, but this may vary depending on your passport and immigration history. Some users reported receiving only 15 days when crossing by land.

March for Mae Sae and April for Vientiane. Given 30 days each. For Mae Sae, we returned within the hour.

There are no more 15 day visa exempt land entries. Everyone who qualifies for 30 days by air now gets 30 days by land, but limited to 2x per calendar year.
