I think contact with an agent to bypass all that seems to be the easiest alternative.

so I just bring a GB international drivers permit and my current GB drivers license and they give you a new 5 yr Thai license - are you sure ? Do I need to produce my expired Thai license?

Do I need a visa for Vietnam during a border run, and what are my best options from Koh Phangan?

Only way to do a Vietnam border run is to go through Laos or Cambodia but why pay for an extra visa to those countries

Just go to Laos and com back

yes you could have a valid point there Tom 👍 although the 60 days then becomes 75 days so it’s 6 and of one and half a dozen of the other 👍

Thanks Steve, some of the documents required required on the application aren’t relevant like a letter of invitation from where I am staying whilst in Thailand, as I will br travelling around I have no one to confirm that document so I will try the “Not Relevant” answer like some one has suggested
