You need to get the Non O before you come here in order to open a Bank account and after that the rest is fairly easy, Avoid Bangkok Bank and if you still feel you need an agent then these on Soi 94 are very good and helpful.

I own my own house and have the correct visa and this is the attitude I got from them too, I think maybe they no longer want foreign clients.

As far as I am aware you can not open a Bank account with a DTV Visa.
