Nippon Air probably partners with either Thai Airways or Bangkok Air domestically. Then they could give you both boarding passes at checkin. Then your luggage would go straight through and you would use the transfer facility. Just follow the signs.

You can't apply for a Tourist visa inside Thailand! But you can in Penang.

You can get the extension a few weeks before it expires. They add the 30 days to the Admitted To date not the application date.

Nik Dadd I don't understand your response. Income affidavit people don't have to prove money coming to Thailand. Just that they earn 65k per month in their home country.

Only for those countries that don't give income affidavit, USA, Australia and UK. Other countries don't have to show the 65k per month for a year
