Do understand that any "village" wedding ceremony is not an official marriage for visa purposes, you'll need to register with your local Amphur, as legal marriage in Thailand consists of two parties registering their union with a local Amphur (Thai district office, similar to a county office). It is a process that can take several days to complete.
Congratulations & Good Luck !

For what it's worth:
common sense dictates you get an English & Thai language prenuptial agreement with a lawyer, mate.
It's a good idea to set up a will, too -- especially if you have children or others in your home country you'd like to be beneficiaries.
Me mate stayed at Copacabana in Jomtien and raves about it.

but for a real "beach" with warm blue water, go to Koh Larn, if nothing else; a day trip-- very easy to get there by public ferry for 30 baht from Bali Hai pier at the end of Walking Street.
When you go to Koh Larn, best to take sand to the beach, 😉 so to speak--- no real nightlife there. 🙃 555
