I got a car loan a few years ago to buy a used car from a bkk garage / normal interest rates , no job ,no work permit - had to deposit 30% of the car value tho - so it is certainly possible

you obviously don’t know the Thai market ,used cars hold their values far better than some western markets

And what nonsense is “borrowing money for a car is evidence a person probably shouldn’t borrow “ 🙄

I didn’t have any job ,work permit etc and I got a loan when I bought a used car from a bkk garage - standard rates at the time also

I am just going through the process currently - and the answer to your question is no ( they want to see the 800k in your account for 2 months at the time you apply for the 1 year extension ) - is my understanding

To clarify - I am not married and this is the initial Non O application ( not the extension based on retirement (( that hopefully will be done in 3 months ))

Do I need landlord details / 3 months rental receipts etc as per section 8 for my particular application ?

this seems at odds with what I am hearing from others ( and the requirements from immigration ) 🤔🤔

The bank account details and proof of funds coming from abroad needs to be submitted with the Non O application
