You will not always get hot water in the resorty areas, especially if it's in the lower price ranges.

Thailand is so warm all year, all day, that a lot of people simply don't care about heating water for shower.

Some even prefer a cold shower.

I wouldn't push this too far, if you hit a brick wall.

Wanting to borrow money for a car (an asset that rapidly depreciates in value) could be seen as evidence that you probably shouldn't be borrowing money.

It is the single biggest sinkhole for the middle class globally.

Get a cheap used car, it's easy to find good mechanics in Thailand who will keep it running.
