I applied and received a Non O visa which expires 26 Sept

What are the requirements for the 1 year extension based on retirement ?

Can it be done in 1 visit ( assuming I have all relevant documents ) ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 1-year extension for a Non O visa based on retirement, you will need to verify the requirements at your local immigration office, as they can vary. It is generally advised to have funds in your bank account for at least two months before applying for the extension. In some cases, you may be eligible for a 90-day Non O visa while preparing for the extension.

Money need to be wired into bank 2 months before you can get 1 year extension.

Meanwhile they can give you 90d non-o visa usually, but money meds to be there already and basically all the info.

I'm surprised that you had a non-o visa already, for 3 months? If so then maybe you waited too long to transfer the money?

Ok. Good. Try to gather all things mentioned, update Bangkok and get history, and verification from the bank and go SAME day to immigration. They'll tell if you need any more stuff. Usually you do

I think i needed rental contract and proof of payment too. At least initially.

Tm30s from landlord. Tm6.

?

I have the 3 month non O already ( the money is already transferred as per that requirement) )

I am asking about the requirements for the 1 year extension based on retirement ( of that non O )

These are general guidelines, but you need to go to the office you'll use and ask them for their current list of requirements, as every office is different.

Any idea what CM requirements are ? ( I am not actually in the city currently to visit etc )

I gather the 1 year retirement extension can be applied for up to the expiry date ?

I don't know the requirements, but yes it can be applied for up until the expiration date.

good to know - if I give myself 2 days in CM is that enough time to get the extension done would you think ?

( I have to go back to CM as that’s where the initial application was processed etc I was told today at Phuket )
