over the past few months Jomtien Immigration have fined many people for [owners] failing to lodge TM30 on their return from Bangkok and other provinces. The foreigners paid as they were not allowed to extend their visas or do 90 day reports unless fine paid. Jomtien is enforcing it consistently now - I was there 2 weeks ago and about 80% of foreigners fined. Same as October last year.

Robert Lagas you are wrongly making the assumption that existing legislation does not currently allow for data sharing - don't assume anything.

It is highly likely existing legislation already allows for immigration to obtain/grant access to information "as needed" to meet their overall obligations. Most governments have an overarching existing legislation saying they can and will share information as required by law or to meet the agencys/departments portfolio responsibilities.

It CLEARLY states the link has recently been provided - suggesting existing law allows for data matching/sharing across departments.

It is possible to get an extension up to 1 year as a volunteer, if the organisation has been approved for this specifically by the relevant Government department. Not many are approved for this though.

I always complete the TM30 in my name anyway - always accepted 🙂

Nothing new here...they've had this policy for a long-time, too many visas and they denied
