What are the best Thai banks for foreigners with good customer service apart from Bangkok Bank?

Kasikorn has been easy do deal with and hasn't had the same issues as Bangkok bank. But you can't predict what will happen in the future. Don't expect the same customer service you get at home. Banks here and customer service don't go together

How can I prove my address in Thailand to open a bank account if nothing is in my name?

Visa and residence certificate were required last month when I opened an account at Kasikorn. However it seems to differ at each bank and with each bank employee you talk to. Pick the bank and branch you want to use and ask them directly. You will get many different answers here
