Getting a non O is easy. If you plan to open a bank account on the first trip you need the non O, not visa exempt or tourist visa.

 you have to maintain 800k balance for the first 3 months if your non 0 is based on age 50.

 except that you won't be able to show that you had the required funds in your account for the whole year since the agent puts the money in and then immediately takes it out.

It will be in the system and I have never heard of anyone being asked for it. That being said, I print out at least one copy of anything they could potentially ask for. Better to have and not need it than for them to have a system problem or something and you not have something they ask for.
