Applying for the non O is fairly simple and doesn't have many requirements. You show money in your US bank to apply. You open a thai bank account when you get here with your non O visa.

Go to immigration, get a residence certificate and open another bank account at another bank. Bangkok bank froze my account, went to kasikorn and was using their banking app within a few hours. My transfers with Bangkok bank took 3 to 5 days. My new Kasikorn account transfers are complete in 3 to five seconds. I had other ways of getting money thankfully, but i won't get caught with only one Thai bank account again.
