I've seen in the comments that they let you enter but you're post lacked some critical detail..... Like why they were going to refuse you entry, I am assuming you have been going in and out for a good few times is that right or were they genuinely being over the top with you l?

okay, so yeah it's definitely possible you could be at least stopped and asked some questions, it's probably

to be honest at this point I think officially you're allowed to do it 2 times by land for a year, so like you enter and then you do one visa run and return straight away so if this is your 2nd run then you're approaching the territory for being asked a few questions as to what you're doing here but some will get away with more than 2 with no hassles and some won't I don't think anyone can give you a definite answer 🤷

It's pure guesswork man unfortunately, you'll likely be okay if this is the first one you've done but every case is different, just depends on how they are feeling on the day. The more you runs and bounces you do the more likely you'll be refused entry

yeah I get that, as everything is becoming much more difficult to get these days and new requirements for things seem to keep getting added on, its becoming quite a pain to stay completely legal without having to cut corners or use an agent.

To be honest if it wasn't for my wife and kids id have probably have left for either Cambodia, Vietnam or the Philippines by now where it's a lot more simple and less stressful

Think the banks just make it up as they go along to be honest because as far as I know you actually don't need anything to just open a bank account according to comments I have seen in some visa groups. You really just need to keep hitting different bank branches and asking until you find one that will open one for you ✌️

You just need to go back to Mae sot and just explain to the border officials that what they are doing isn't in the spirit of friendship, quote clause 17.1 of the immigration act and they will stamp you in and out no issues ✌️

You need to go to your embassy and get an affirmation to get married, and have that translated into Thai, and you take that to a another building in bkk, I forgot where that is but you'll find it online or Your embassy will tell you, then you actually need to go to the local amphur and and get/register the marriage.

I chose to do the in country method to get my 1 year visa

At that point you should visit your local immigration office and ask them what they're going to need from you, you should do this well in advance because there is a lot of paperwork you need to get together (my application for the non B visa for marriage was over 100 pages).

All immigration offices have their own way of doing things but, for instance my immigration office (sakeao) want me to keep 400,000thb in my account for 3 months where I believe some are only 2 months, you'll also need the copies of the 3 months of bank statements, you'll need your house owner to sign things and and I think another family member has some documents to sign as well you'll need a print off map of where you're house is, and also you'll need photos of you and your wife in every room in your house and also photos of you stood outside with a sign that displays your address. It's all quite simple stuff but it may take you a week or two to actually get it all together, it's not something you can just do the day before in an hour or so.

Once you have the money in your account for 3 months immigration will give you a non O extension for 1 month, then after the month you should finally get the 1 year extension based on marriage. I first had to come back into the country on 30 day visa free, then I did a 30 day extension, then I did 60 day extension to visit Thai family, then it was the one month non O extension then finally the 1 year extension, I stated it all the end of January and it took till July to get the 1 year

But as mentioned you are best going to your immigration office to get a list from them as to what they're wanting to see ✌️
