TLDR : Answer Summary
For your Non-O visa based on marriage, you need to apply for a one-year extension of stay before your current permit expires on 18th July. It's advisable to do this no more than 30 days before the expiry date—ideally, after 18th June. Some immigration offices allow applications up to 45 days prior, so starting your application around mid-June would be recommended to ensure all paperwork is ready.

You need to keep 400k in your bank account for two months to extend your visa for 1 year

I think I seen a prior post where you was moving or in Maha Sarakham. You can do your one year extension based on marraige 45 days in advance. Just did mine one week ago.

I am not sure they told me to come back 45 days from the beginning of my Non O. I heard Bangkok is pretty slow in approving the extensions. You might want to call them. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

You don't need to apply for a new non-O, you need to apply for a one year extension of stay. At the moment your stay permit expires on 18th July. You need to go to immigration and apply for the one year extension when you have no more than 30 days left on the stay permit (so after 18th June). Some immigration offices let you apply earlier, when you have no more than 45 days left.

This is something you need 2 photocopies of every document necessary, signed & hand in in person at your local Immigrations Office.

A yearly chore so long as you still stay in the same legal marriage, but that's how it done unless you use an agency?

That is not your visa.Assuming u applied in your home country u should have a 1 year visa.Hopefully u applied for multiple entry. When u arrive in Thailand u will get a stamp in your passport as u have shown. The O marriage visa is a one year visa but it requires a departure from Thailand within 90 days exactly as your stamp shows After u departe and re enter u will get another 3 months.U cannot get this extended at immigration it requires physical dept and entry which u can do each 3 months until the 1 year visa expires. Then u need to get a new 1 year visa.

The Non Imm O visa based on marriage is either 90 days(single entry) or 1 year(multiple entry). You CAN apply to extend either the multiple or the single entry visa for 60 days or 1 year

Thai embassy can not give a one-year NON-O visa. They will issue only 90 days and then if you fulfill local immigration requirements, such as 400,000 Baht in bank or equivalent income, they will issue you a one-year visa. 90 days reporting needs to be done and then you can renew each year.

you’re able to apply, at an immigration office, for one 60 day (based on having a Thai wife) extension as well.

I am in Thailand with a one year multiple entry visa Issued at the Thai embassy in my home country.I have already been here for 3 months departed and arrived and received another 90 Days.

I realise there is a difference if u get the visa in Thailand but if u apply in your home country that is what u get

There is no difference between a Non O obtained in country to one obtained overseas. Your home country and indeed some other consulates may issue a multiple entry version of it. As stated whichever version you get you can extend for a year in country.

You appear to be crossing your wires. The Non O visa based on marriage is a 90 day visa. Some consulates may offer a multiple entry Non O based on marriage which is indeed valid for a year and on each entry you get 90 days - so you have to bounce every 90 days.

Either option has the ability to be extended for a year in country if all requirements to do so are met.

if we left after 80 days. And come back again they are giving us 90 days again right. So what happens if we left in 30 or 40 days? They are always giving 90 days right until 1 year finishes?

for the multiple entry 1 year visa yes. Each and every entry would give you 90 days. Regardless if you took all of them each time. Each entry - 90 days. Until the visa is no more.

it’s multiple entry so no permit required. You can’t cancel a visa. You just leave after the last entry and it has expired.

you do not need an agency. Just go to the immigration office, ask what docs are required, photocopy all docs, go back to immigration and ask if all is in order.....saving 20,000baht!!!

Assuming you are meaning to apply for the year extension you have to do it on or before 18th July. Suggest doing so a couple of weeks or so early just in case you need extra paperwork or something.

In Thailand you can apply for 1 year Visa 1 month in advance only. So, you can start to prepare paper work from 18 JUN. On 18 JUN you need to go the immigration office reference as your residence located. They will give you a list. Thanks
