TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experiences and concerns regarding back-to-back tourist visa (TR 60) runs to Laos and the potential issues with re-entry into Thailand. Responses highlight that while many have successfully completed these runs, experiences can vary greatly depending on individual circumstances. Recommendations include obtaining a tourist visa from a Thai embassy to avoid refusal at the border, and caution about the limit of two land border bounces per year without a tourist visa.

If you can get a tourist visa from the Thai embassy they won't be refusing you at the border. Without tourist visa it's 2 land border bounce per year only.

It's pure guesswork man unfortunately, you'll likely be okay if this is the first one you've done but every case is different, just depends on how they are feeling on the day. The more you runs and bounces you do the more likely you'll be refused entry

and last year? When deciding whether to grant you entry to Thailand immigration can look back at your entire history

but where in the year? 3 months last year and already 6 months this year on tourist visas is pushing your luck I'd say. make sure you have 20k baht in cash, accommodation booked and a flight out booked. Not having these are the most common reasons for refusal.

to be honest at this point I think officially you're allowed to do it 2 times by land for a year, so like you enter and then you do one visa run and return straight away so if this is your 2nd run then you're approaching the territory for being asked a few questions as to what you're doing here but some will get away with more than 2 with no hassles and some won't I don't think anyone can give you a definite answer 🤷
