I don't know how things are there in the uk, but here in taiwan it's mandatory to go to the immigration and get "2. CERTIFICATE OF ENTRY AND EXIT DATES from NATIONAL IMMIGRATION AGENCY (Validity 1 month)", that's also for the locals
it's the same here in taiwan. Employers expect you to open a bank account with the bank they usually deal with, reason why I got 3 different bank accounts. The money is actually in local banks so I never thought that was an issue till I read of a guy who got refused cuz of that (even tho one wasn't a real bank) and I'm here checking out how you folks have dealt with it 🙂 thanks for the reply
