Planes have carefully constructed, adapted for COVID and functioning air circulation systems. Do Immigration offices? Of course not, how could they afford such. I think poiticians and Public Health authorities need a good walk in the sunshine. Consult scientific authorities, businessmen and women, talk to some families and singles managing (or not) through this - then make decisions based on common sense
Mr. Helfer, So sorry to hear of this hurdle. It does surprise me because at least regarding May 2021 COVID tests and hotel rate ($50 & $25 respectively) I found Dubai prices great value compared to Canada ($173-$200 & $120+ respectively)
from what I read from the Thai Embassy in Ottawa website, it starts at 09:00 Nov. 1. Local time in Thailand obviously. Current time is about 02:08, so it should not be. But stranger things have happened
So, no consensus, weird that we must debate among ourselves the customers rather than have a representative of the Department of Immigration clarify. Singapore does this in spades. You can actually email them and they respond. Very rare for any government.
Still, 'clear as mud'. If I book a hotel room in Bangkok while waiting for the new system to kick in, which it has to be is ambiguous to me. Maybe it doesn't matter. Both are just as valid and poor value?
